It is possible to follow an asset on the Urban Data Observatory?

For our experiment we want to use some Organicity assets in a certain location. Since our experiment revolves around community participation, the UDO is great for determining closest data points. However, if I want to keep a record of which assets Im interested in, I have to make a list. Is is possible to follow or subscribe or better still, add assets from the UDO to our experiment on the experimenter portal? Thanks!

Hello Usamah,

If I understand your question correctly, you need to use the APIs to create the list you mention.

In order to get the list of assets you are interested in, you might use the discovery API, in particular I guess geographical search can serve your needs (https://docs.organicity.eu/api/AssetDiscovery.html#operation--assets-geo-search-get).

Then, if you don't want to poll the last values of the interesting assets, you can use subscription, based on websockets (https://docs.organicity.eu/tools/websockets/).

Adding existing assets to your experiment is not possible, since it somehow goes against the ownership scheme used in Organicity.

Please, let us know if we can help you further.

Best,

Thanks for your answer. I guess I've misunderstood a little what it means to add an asset to our experiment. We are trying to build a layer on top of the data we collect from multiple assets so that's why I wanted to see if there was a way to add them to our experiment as a quick view to all the assets we intend to use. Using the discovery API should work as well.

Thanks!
